Daytrip

For DebConf26 there are three options for daytrip. Sign up is on the website. Please complete the insurance registration too, the operators’ insurance require attendee details.

Please bring the exact amount in cash (ARS / USD / EUR) to the front-desk for payment.

Option 1 has a hard limit of 40 attendees.

Options 2 and 3 have the possibility of getting a second bus, if there is enough demand. Please wait-list for attendance, and we will add additional buses as necessary.

The deadline for daytrip registration is Wednesday 15 July.

Option 1: Full Day in Santa Fe

Program: We depart at the agreed-upon time from the hotel aboard the Tourist Bus for a tour to discover the city’s most important attractions. With a professional guide on board, microphone, and amplifier throughout the tour, we will visit the city’s historic center, Parque del Sur, the Port of Santa Fe, the Messi Mural, the riverfront promenade, and the UNL University Campus. During the tour, we will stop to visit the Museum of the Constitution and its interactive exhibits, where we will learn about the history of Santa Fe as the birthplace of the Argentine Constitution. Visit and tour of the UNL Ecological Reserve: interpretation center for the Paraná River wetlands. At midday, a typical Santa Fe lunch featuring river fish is included at Quincho de Chiquito. Towards the afternoon there will be a trip along the river with the Costa Litoral catamaran

Option 2: Day in Paraná

We depart at the agreed-upon time from the hotel to discover the neighboring city of Paraná and its wonderful attractions. We will visit the Subfluvial Tunnel Complex, where we will learn about the history and interesting facts of this impressive feat of engineering that connects two provinces under the waters of the Paraná River. We continue our tour through Urquiza Park and its beautiful bluffs and the spectacular views of the great Paraná River. Lunch will be at the Open Club Tourist Complex, where a meal featuring flavors with the identity of Entre Ríos awaits us. There, we will share a special moment at the Vinos de Rios wine shop with a short audiovisual presentation about the history of winemaking in Entre Ríos and the new generation of local wines. In the afternoon, we will take a city tour of the main attractions of the capital of Entre Ríos: Urquiza Park, the Civic Center, and Bajada Grande, ideal for enjoying the urban landscape and its friendly pace. At the end of the day, we will begin our return to Santa Fe via National Route 168, with the satisfaction of having experienced a unique adventure amidst the nature, history, and flavors of the Litoral region.

Option 3: Full Day in Cayastá – Santa Fe La Vieja

We depart from the hotel and travel 70 km from the provincial capital to visit the Santa Fe La Vieja Archaeological Complex, a National Historic Monument. This site is where the first founding of Santa Fe by Juan de Garay took place in 1753. Through a guided tour, we will visit the Site Museum, the old Church of San Francisco, and the Recreated House, an interactive space that recreates the colonial life of the first inhabitants of Santa Fe. After lunch, we will visit the ‘Punta Arena’ recreational complex, where we will also enjoy outdoor activities: guided trekking along the complex’s trails and on the banks of the Ubajay River.
