Accepted Talks:
DebConf Committee BoF
Meet the DebConf committee. See and hear us discussing this years and next years’ DebConf. Give us feedback and ask for improvements.
DebConf 28: In your city?
Session to discuss possible locations for DebConf28!
DebConf 27 is planned to be held in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, Japan. But we have no plans for DebConf28, yet.
Meet the Debian Data Protection team
Debian is about Free Software, yes. But Debian must also take part in the Real World™. This means, we have to work on several aspects of software development that are non-technical.
In early 2026, we re-formed the Debian Data Protection Team (and we thank the previous team members for their work!). It now consists of:
- Aigars Mahinovs
- Andrew M. A. Cater
- Bart Martens
- Emmanuel Arias
- Gunnar Wolf
- Kiran S Kunjumon
- Salvo Tomaselli
This is not a very visible team, but it is important for many issues, some of them legal, some of them that do have a visible impact on how we do things.
With this BoF, we want to introduce our work as a team, plus open the stage for any questions you might have. The BoF will have video coverage and recording, so for any confidential issues you might have, we will ask you to come talk with us afterwards.
Continuous Keysigning Party Coordination / Kickoff
One of DebConf’s recurring activities is the Key Signing Party. It helps Debian strengthen and expand its web of trust. This session will:
- Explain how keysigning is done in a DebConf setting
- Validate the SHA256 hash of the KSP coordination document
- Explain how to participate to people who did not send their keys in time
Once DebConf is closer, we will link from this talk proposal to the relevant documents you should have in hand for the keysigning party.
